Adele #1 With A Huge Week, But Without A Million Sales

Of the 692,000 copies of “30” sold as full packs, i.e. albums, 205,000 were in digital downloads and 487,000 in physical formats, including 378,000 CDs, 108,000 vinyl LPs and less than 2,000 tapes. “30” vinyl sales were the second largest recorded in a single week since at least 1991, when MRC’s predecessor, SoundScan, began keeping the record sales numbers right. Top seller? Swift’s new “Red (Taylor’s Version)” sold 114,000 copies on vinyl just a week ago, when it opened at #1.

This week, that version of “Red” drops to second place on the list. “Certified Lover Boy” number 3, “An Evening with Silk Sonic” Silk Sonic’s new project – aka Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak – is number 4, and Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” is at number five.

Summer Walker’s “Still Over It” starts at number six, while “Raise the Roof” by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss starts at number 7.
