Adele Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due to Covid Among Crew.


An apologetic and tearful Adele announced Thursday that her upcoming Las Vegas residency will be delayed, citing production issues and the toll of Covid-19.

The show, titled “Weekends With Adele,” is scheduled to open on Friday at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and there will be two concerts each week until April 16.

“I’m so sorry but my show is not ready,” the singer said in a video she shared on her social media accounts, her voice shaking. “We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to get it together on time and be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely ruined by delivery delays and Covid – half my crew, half my crew caught Covid, they still are.”

He said the shows would be rescheduled and described himself as “suffering” and “really embarrassed”.

Adele’s latest album “30” was released in November and topped the Billboard chart. six straight weeks.

The recent spike in coronavirus cases has led to a number of concert cancellations, including Dead & Company’s Playing in the Sand festival in Mexico, but cocoella and other high-profile tours continue.
