Lindsey Jacobellis Wins 1st Gold of Beijing Games


Lindsey Jacobellis, the world’s most dominant athlete in the short history of snowboard cross, awarded the United States its first gold medal at the Beijing Games on Wednesday.

The victory was salvation for Jacobellis. It just didn’t live up to expectations in the previous three Winter Games: can still stand It is the most famous Olympic gaffe in history.
