The time for speculation and fake drafts is over: 2022 NFL draft It will begin at 8 PM Eastern time on Thursday in Las Vegas.
Over three days and seven rounds, the NFL’s 32 teams will select 262 candidates to join the league. The league has been rewarded with 39 make-up picks for this year’s draft, and as part of an attempt to reward hiring various players, seven picks were awarded to six teams—the Browns, Ravens, Saints, 49ers (there were two), Kansas City, and the Rams. head coaches and primary football managers (general managers).
How to Watch a Draft

Teams to Consider
The Jacksonville Jaguars have the #1 overall pick for the second year in a row. Jacksonville (3-14 last season) has a total of 12 picks and needs help in just about every position. The team’s top priority is on the offensive and defensive lines, but may also be looking for a wide receiver.
With the second and 32nd picks, the Detroit Lions are trying to pick up the defensive line and could be a new corner player in their future. They are among eight teams with two picks in the first round. Another, the Houston Texans (Nos. 3 and 13), may be scouting for a wide receiver.
The Jets currently have five picks in the first three rounds, including fourth and 10th picks. Along with the fifth- and seventh-picked Giants, the Jets are said to be interested in trading some of their current draft stock to buy a veteran. (There are options, with teams reportedly shopping with receiver Deebo Samuel and quarterback Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo.)
Eight teams—the Rams, 49ers, Dolphins, Bears, Colts, Browns, Broncos, and Raiders—have no first-round picks.
Players to Watch
Of the 262 candidates, only 20 will attend the event in Las Vegas. Among them are Michigan defensive Aidan Hutchinson, who finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting and is in the mix as a potential #1 pick; Kayvon Thibodeaux, a setter from Oregon; Ikem Ekwon A fast and agile American attack from the State of North Carolina; Alabama’s Evan Neal played left-back for three seasons with the Crimson Tide and played in both positions.
Travon Walker, a defender from Georgia and another contender to be selected first overall, will participate from afar. Quarterbacks are expected to be low in this year’s first round: Only Liberty’s Malik Willis and Mississippi’s Matt Corral will be available in Las Vegas, with most of the prospects on the position expected to be picked up after the first round. The Carolina Panthers, the #6 overall pick, are thought to be the first team to pick a quarterback.
But prepare for surprises as there is no consensus on the first few picks in the first round.
