Olympics 2021: Day 2 Schedule and How to Watch


Here are some of the highlights US broadcast coverage For Saturday evening, that includes skateboarding’s first appearance at the Olympics and the next game of the seemingly unstoppable USA softball team. All times are East.

  • Skate boarding: Men’s street skateboarding makes its Olympic debut in the US with a live broadcast of the pre-runs starting at 7:30am. Coverage of the Finals again begins at 11 in the US; NBC picks it up at midnight.

  • Beach volleyball: Preliminaries will be included in NBC’s multisport coverage starting at 8. NBCSN will rebroadcast an earlier match between Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena from the US and Alexander Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen from the Netherlands on 9. NBC plans additional coverage during the nightly broadcast starting at 2pm

  • Spade: At age 8, CNBC did male and female singles and repechages in doubles. At 11 p.m., CNBC aired reruns of the qualifiers in the men’s and women’s eights.

  • Swimming: NBC will feature the men’s and women’s 400m individual medley finals in its multisport coverage starting at 8 a.m., with additional coverage during the nightly broadcast starting at 2 p.m.

  • three-on-three basketball: Look for a live stream of a pre-match starting at 8 during NBC’s multisport broadcast. Additional broadcast begins at 8 am on CNBC and 10:40 am in the US.

  • baseball: The US women are rolling and they’ll face Australia at 9 am on CNBC and will be replayed on NBCSN at midnight.

  • Tennis: The first round of singles and doubles matches continues on the Olympic Channel, starting at 10 am.

  • Volleyball: NBCSN aired the 10th round replay of the men’s match between the United States and France. US women take on Argentina in a Group B match on NBC at midnight.

  • Archery: The USA covers the qualifying round at 10:40am and CNBC will hold the final of the women’s team event at 3am.

  • Cycling: Coverage of women’s road racing begins at midnight in the United States.

  • Ping pong: The mixed doubles quarterfinals kick off at 12:20 p.m. on CNBC.

  • Water ball: CNBC has the Group A men’s match between the United States and Japan at 1 p.m.

  • Gymnastics: The men’s team competition kicks off at 2 p.m. on NBC’s nightly broadcast.

  • Dive: The women’s synchronized springboard competition kicks off at 2:10 on CNBC.

  • Fencing: Women’s individual foil coverage begins at 3 p.m. on CNBC.
