Due to the pandemic, organizers have limited attendance to 10,000 people, including indoor. But the packed party is back, and now spanning two days, a dizzying compilation of the best musical acts and bottomless pints that Preakness-goers know and love.
On Friday, a day traditionally led by the Black-Eyed Susan race for mares, the Preakness Live Cuisine, Arts and Music Festival will kick off with performances by Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, Brittney Spencer and more. Celebrity chefs Tom Colicchio, Marcus Samuelsson and Gail Simmons and local chefs will present cooking demonstrations and local artists will have installations in what’s called the art garden.
On Saturday, traditional InfieldFest returns, led by Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, and MoneyBagg Yo. Maybe there will even be images of the legendary centaur mascot Kegasus.
So let the extended debauchery begin – this time, many hope to never be interrupted again.
