Sony Music announced on Monday that it has acquired Bob Dylan’s entire catalog of recorded music, including all previous albums and “future multiple release rights.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. When Dylan sold his songwriting rights – separate from what happened for the recordings – to Universal Music in late 2020, this deal was estimated to be worth over $300 million.

According to Sony’s statement, the transaction was completed in July, making it one of the music industry’s rare big-money deals to prevent leaks for up to six months.
