The Return of the Cannes Film Festival

For two weeks in the south of France you can enter the temple of the high holy cinema: Cannes Film Festival. This is where the red carpet moments are made, the tuxedo mandatory and the audience standing ovation for a full nine minutes. The celluloid soiree returns this July after being canceled last year due to the pandemic.

Projectionist’s Kyle Buchanan brought his bow tie and face mask to experience the glitz, glamor and of course movies. He shares highlights from this year’s program with our colleague Dodai Stewart.
