US male beach volleyball player Taylor Crabb will miss the Tokyo Olympics after testing positive for coronavirus upon arrival in Japan.
Crabb, 29, barely made it to the Olympics.
USA Volleyball said in an email that it was “the subject of a code of conduct review” that led to the fulfillment of Crabb’s requirements to compete. They declined to provide further details, but said they were “in good standing” with the organization.

So far, at least 91 people with Olympic certifications, including 10 athletes, have tested positive for coronavirus in Japan, according to an analysis by The New York Times.
Crabb joins the growing list of Team USA members who will be excluded from the Games. On July 19, 3×3 basketball player Katie Lou Samuelson tested positive. And on July 20, Black EakerAn alternate on the US gymnastics team tested positive.
